Cambridge is one of the world's oldest university towns. Established in 1209, the first 'college' was formed in 1284 following receipt of a Royal Charter from King Edward 1. Endowed with natural beauty, gems include the backs facing the river and the beautiful River Cam, itself, which is ideal for both punting and boat racing. Book lovers will find over 100 libraries here and even the original manuscript of A. A. Milne’s Winnie the Pooh.

In 1953, the Eagle Pub, a well-studied venue of Cambridge scientists Francis Crick and James Watson was where their announcement that DNA contained genetic information was made.

Today, Cambridge is home to over 30 colleges. World class degrees, summer school courses and online education programmes offer up a myriad of study opportunities - including from the renowned Judge Business School.
